Description: This new and informative class provides an overview of the various ways that corporate governance disputes arise in nonprofit organizations, key steps that nonprofit directors and officers can take to navigate these issues, and recent developments illustrating how D.C. courts handle these matters under the D.C. Nonprofit Corporation Act. Experienced nonprofit practitioners will find practical tips for protecting organizations and their boards of directors.
Attendees who are newer to this practice area or who serve as nonprofit board members themselves will learn about the most important issues to be aware of when internal disputes arise that could develop into court actions. Others may also find this topic of interest and are encouraged to join us.
