Description: This engaging and interactive session will begin with an introduction to relevant administrative law principles that affect the drafting of regulations, including the informal rulemaking process under the Administrative Procedure Act. Those who attend will learn about the “anatomy” of a rule, including these topics:
Preamble requirements
Common drafting issues for regulation text
Options available in the drafting process
Those who attend will have the opportunity to draft a regulation with our expert panel’s guidance. While this session is a must for those attorneys involved with the drafting of agency rules and the rulemaking process, others may find the topic of interest.
