ON DEMAND: International Tax Series: International Tax Aspects of the Corporate Book Minimum Tax
The new 15% corporate book minimum tax enacted in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 presents a number of international tax-related questions. The statute instructs Treasury and the IRS to provide guidance in numerous areas, including the calculation of adjusted financial statement income in the context of foreign-parented groups, the treatment of dividends, how taxes are taken into account in determining adjusted financial statement income, and the corporate AMT foreign tax credit generally. The panel will explore these and other topics and potential approaches in guidance.
