Course Number:
C0926NC02W
Original Program Date:
October 28, 2025
Duration:

Join the D.C. Bar Family Law Community for a thoughtful and practical discussion on how neurodiversity—including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism—can shape the landscape of family law practice. Panelists will explore the impact of neurodivergent traits on coparenting dynamics, attorney–client relationships, and the development of parenting plans in custody cases. Participants will learn how neurodiversity may present in family court and learn strategies to effectively communicate with and advocate for neurodivergent clients. The program will also cover adaptable parenting plan structures tailored to diverse needs, guidance on when to refer parties to specialized resources, and best practices for supporting families navigating these challenges. Don’t miss this chance to strengthen your family law practice with practical tools for working with neurodiverse clients.
