ON DEMAND: Employee Benefits Tax Series: SECURE 2.0 – Policy Goals and Implications
Credit: 0 Credit Hours Only a few short years following the passage of the SECURE Act, Congress has added another layer to its ongoing overhaul of the U.S. employer retirement system – SECURE 2.0. Employers and providers, still grappling with the changes from SECURE 1.0, will need to act quickly to adjust.
The D.C. Bar’s Employee Benefits Committee is pleased to welcome Kelly Geloneck, Principal at Groom Law Group, and Diana McDonald, Senior Policy Advisor at Groom Law Group, to discuss, among other things:
1. Legislative history and policy goals of SECURE 2.0; 2. Major changes ushered in by the law; 3. Open questions and anticipated guidance; and 4. Reactions so far from the retirement plans community.
