Description: Taught by experienced practitioners, this second class in our Security Clearance Series provides basic background and training on security clearance cases and how to contest security clearance denials and revocations throughout the federal system, including representation of both employees and contractors. Discussion will primarily revolve around handling administrative hearings before the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals and written submissions and personal appearances before the intelligence, military, and law enforcement communities. However, the panel will also discuss litigation strategies and will review past case decisions and potential avenues for exceptions.
This class benefits anyone who represents clients with security clearance problems, or who holds a security clearance and wants to understand the issues better. It will be of special interest to those who have attended the first session in this series, Introduction to Department of Defense Security Clearance Cases 2024 (On-Demand).
