Description: Ending relationships of any kind is never easy. This applies to those relationships attorneys have with their clients. This informative class guides the practicing attorney through the maze of ethics issues surrounding the termination of a representation prior to the conclusion of a matter. Our knowledgeable and engaging presenters address situations where an attorney must withdraw and where an attorney may withdraw. The class covers the steps attorneys should consider when withdrawing from a client matter, including issues relating to permission from courts or tribunals, notice to clients, deadlines, and confidentiality.
