Description: Title IX enforcement on college and university campuses has exploded in the last several years, with many colleges and universities taking on investigative roles that few of them ever anticipated. Attorneys for students often find themselves at a loss to understand this new regime, where you can’t issue subpoenas, can’t cross-examine witnesses, and usually have to sit silently during a hearing.
How do schools investigate these cases? How should attorneys for complainants and respondents navigate this complex regime? This class, which focuses more on practical advice than legal theory, brings together attorneys who have experience with all sides of these cases who will help answer the questions you may have.
