Description: During the first class in this informative and comprehensive three-part series our expert faculty will focus on the basic will and estate plan for the client with an estate valued at less than the federal applicable exclusion amount, currently $11.7 million. They will review assets a person may dispose of by will, as well as factors to consider when making bequests. They also will discuss estate and inheritance tax at the state level, which often has a lower threshold than the federal estate tax. Additionally, our faculty experts will address issues on collecting information from the client and collateral estate planning, including powers of attorney for financial matters and health care.
