ON DEMAND: The SEC's New Investment Adviser Marketing Rule: Impact on Firms and Investors
Credit: 0 Credit Hours
In December 2020, the SEC adopted long-awaited amendments to its advertising and solicitation rules, streamlining and merging the two rules into a single modernized rule known as the Adviser Marketing Rule. This new rule is critical to how investment advisers will market their services and obtain clients, and also extends the ambit of the rule to private fund investors, all while accommodating the dynamic impact of technology. Join practitioners as well as staff from the SEC's Division of Investment Management and the Investment Adviser Association for a discussion on the rule and its impact on investors.
