Description: Join us for the second annual D.C. Bar Legislative Counsel Summit – an essential gathering for attorneys working in federal legislative environments. This informative and wide-ranging program builds on the success of last year's inaugural conference, offering a deeper exploration of the complex legal and practical issues federal legislative counsel navigate in their day-to-day work. Sessions address a broad spectrum of topics including legislative drafting, appropriations and Congressional Budget Office scoring, positive law and the codification process of the US Code, and ethics and professionalism.

Our distinguished faculty – comprised of experts from government, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector – presents these subjects in a practical, engaging format that emphasizes the underlying legal frameworks, significant case law, and recent developments in the field.

Although the Summit is tailored for federal legislative counsel, legal professionals in related roles will also find the content valuable and are warmly encouraged to attend this important second-year event.
