Description: Join us for the inaugural D.C. Bar Legislative Counsel Summit. This informative and wide-ranging program covers many common issues legislative counsel face in their day-to-day work, including legislative drafting, the drafting of other documents, judicial and legislative developments, appropriations, OMB practice, pointers on working with an office of legal affairs, leadership, and ethics and professionalism. Our expert faculty, drawn from the government, nonprofit, and private sectors, will discuss these topics in a practical and engaging manner, emphasizing the underlying law, significant cases, and recent developments. While the Summit is designed for legislative counsel, others may find the topics of interest and are welcome to join us for this event.
