ON DEMAND: Business Entities for Artists and Entertainers
Credit: 0 Credit Hours This discussion will be an introduction to business entities and corporate formation as related to the arts and entertainment industry, including film producers, music industry participants, theaters, book publishers, and visual artists. Entities covered will include traditional for-profit and non-profit entities, as well as cooperatives, which garner special interest in the arts community. The discussion will focus on entity choice, tax classifications and elections, filing documents, internal governance, and designing multi-entity structures.
