Join our experienced and knowledgeable presenters as they provide a basic outline of what workers' compensation is and what it is not. Among the topics they will discuss are:
- Who is entitled to benefits?
- What can they receive?
- What is the procedure for filing?
- How does the attorney earn a fee?
The panel will provide those new to workers’ compensation law with the basics needed to get started and represent individuals before the Department of Employment Services. They will also assist claims professionals, paralegals, and other non-lawyers who may attend concerning the terminology used and claims handling.
