This program has been rescheduled from January 20, 2026.

On November 10, 2025, the Department of Defense's ("DOD") long-awaited Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification ("CMMC") program officially kicked off. Now that CMMC requirements are showing up in solicitations, our panel will discuss how companies are tackling these new CMMC obligations. In particular, we will examine the CMMC program's impact on the defense supply chain, including lower-tiered suppliers, and what the certification process will mean for continuing Government enforcement of cybersecurity obligations. In addition, we will discuss best practices for managing controlled unclassified information ("CUI") and addressing prior cybersecurity non-compliances uncovered during this process. The panel will also discuss the latest developments in FedRAMP assessments and authorizations, addressing question related to FedRAMP 20x and Rev5-based assessments, including the new Requests for Comments, further updating the Rev5 assessment and authorization requirements. Join the D.C. Bar Government Contracts Community to dive into a discussion of the requirements and challenged faced by government contractors as they work to comply the CMMC and FedRAMP.
