Credit: 0 Credit Hours Cannabis is a developing industry, where stakeholders are eager to protect their valuable intellectual property (IP) rights, but their ability to obtain comprehensive IP protection and enforce their IP rights is sometimes in conflict with federal drug law. This program will take a look at the current IP landscape surrounding cannabis, focusing on patent and trademark protection, which is sometimes influenced by the both state and federal legality of the cannabis products or enterprises seeking IP protection, as well as perspectives from a cannabis start up that has experienced some challenges in the area of IP.
