ON DEMAND: Employee Benefits Tax Series: Understanding the Final Section 162(m) Regulations
Just before the holidays, final regulations were issued under Section 162(m), implementing the statutory changes stemming from 2017 tax reform. As before, the list of covered employees has grown, available exemptions have narrowed and there are a complicated set of grandfathering rules to unpack. Luckily, the D.C. Bar Taxation Community’s Employee Benefits Committee is welcoming back Ilya Enkishev, an Assistant to the Branch Chief at the Internal Revenue Service and Stephen LaGarde, a principal at Ernst & Young LLP, to walk you through the maze. Mary Lewis, an associate at Cooley LLP, will moderate what is sure to be a lively discussion.
