Spring 2025 Pro Bono Public Benefits Training: Cross Examination of the Vocational Expert in Social Security ALJ Disability Hearings- Essential Concepts
The vocational expert has a significant role regarding a claim for disability benefits during a Social Security Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) hearing. The testimony of the vocational expert (or VE) can greatly influence the outcome of the disability claim.
