Credit: 0 Credit Hours The parade of Caribbean data leaks and recent high profile leaks of tax return information have led to blockbuster reports by ProPublica (on the tax strategies of high net-worth individuals) and the New York Times (on former President Trump’s tax returns), among others. This panel will explore how newsrooms think through the legal and ethical questions surrounding the publication of leaked or stolen information and how practitioners counsel clients and navigate audits and investigations where tax leaks and publicity are in play.
